Do you look at the reviews left by other customers when buying something online? Have you left a review after buying a product? Chances are you have done at least one of those. But what if I told you that there is a way to get paid for writing reviews?

This article is going to be all about how to get paid for writing reviews. I will tell you what are the top 5 paid review sites, as well as what I consider to be the best way to make money writing reviews.

Let’s get started!

How To Get Paid For Writing Reviews? ✍🏼💻

Swagbucks

You can make money in two ways with Swagbucks. Either by answering online surveys or by testing products.

When answering surveys, you will be asked to give your opinion about specific brands, products, and services. The pay varies depending on how long the survey is, but on average you will earn $0.15 per survey.

The second way to earn money with Swagbucks is by signing up to test products. After you have tested the product, you will leave a review and get paid. These are one time offers, but can be more profitable than answering surveys.

Other ways to earn money with Swagbucks are:

  • surf the web
  • shop online
  • watch videos
  • play games online

You will earn points that can be transferred to your PayPal account or gift cards.

For more information go to Swagbucks.com.

InboxDollars

InboxDollars is a great alternative to Swagbucks. You can get paid to fill online surveys, test products, watch videos, shop online, play games and refer friends.

The good thing with InboxDollars is that they work with relatively new TV commercials, so you will be the among the first ones to give feedback to these companies.

InboxDollars pays out in cash, rather than points. You will also be given access to weekly InboxDollars sweepstakes.

ReviewStream

ReviewStream allows you to get paid to write reviews on almost any product. You will not only get paid for writing the review, but also when a user votes for your review. This shows ReviewStream that you are providing quality content and you will be rewarded with cash bonuses.

ReviewStream has specific publishing guidelines that you need to follow when writing a review. You should review products that are high in demand in order to get paid more. Also, your reviews must be detailed if you want to get the higher paying rates.

The pay happens through PayPal.

LifePoints

Just like the previous sites, LifePoints is a site that pays you to complete online surveys. The surveys can be on general topics, but they can also be about products that you have bought.

You earn LifePoints for each survey that you complete. Keep in mind that LifePoints will ask for your demographics. If there are too many people with the same demographics as you, LifePoints may reject your request, but you will still earn some LifePoints for applying.

The average survey takes around 15 minutes to complete. There are longer surveys as well that will give you more LifePoints.

The cool thing about LifePoints is that you can redeem LifePoints to charity donations. But you can also exchange your points for a gift card or transfer them to your PayPal account.

Software Judge

Software Judge can pay you up to $50 for reviewing softwares you use on a regular basis. The minimum payout is $1 per review and you can submit up to three reviews per day.

You can get paid via PayPal, but what’s lucrative with Software Judge is that you can get digital products, games, e-books or even free product keys and game downloads.

Are Paid Review Sites Worth Your Time?

Paid review sites can help you supplement your income, but they will not help you earn a full-time income from home.

Even if you work with sites that pay a reasonable wage, you will have a hard time making a living with paid surveys only. There are limited amounts of surveys and product review opportunities that you can do per day.

This means that even if you spent the whole day doing nothing, but filling in paid surveys, you would still struggle financially.

A much better opportunity is to build an asset that will work for you even while you sleep. The best way to do that is to…

Start Your Own Blog

The good thing about starting your own review blog is that you don’t have to deal with website’s requirements. Most sites won’t allow you to write more than a few paragraphs, but with a blog you can make the review as long as you want and even include images and video.

A review blog has also a huge potential to earn passive income through affiliate marketing.

You can partner with a company, like Amazon, and review their products. Join Amazon’s affiliate program and get your affiliate links. Each time someone buys a product through your links, the company will pay you a commission.

You are not limited to Amazon. Almost every company has an affiliate program that you can join.

Of course, affiliate marketing is not the only way to monetize a blog, but it is the most profitable way to monetize a review blog. Other profitable way to make money from a review blog is to write sponsored reviews, but for that you will need lots of visitors.

I recommend you start with affiliate marketing and once you gain more popularity, companies will start reaching out to you for sponsored posts.

  1. I like the idea of starting a review blog instead of writing reviews. It gives me full control and I just have to focus on creating quality content and building up my audience. Once you have a good content buildup and some loyal readers, you’re then you can start to make money from your product review blog. Also, having Google Analytics installed on your blog can help you see which posts are performing well with your readers so you can know which advertising opportunities are a fit and which ones are not.

  3. Thanks for sharing. I have a past experience with surveys. I never get enough surveys and that was quite frustrating. Did you try any of those you have covered? I would appreciate personal experience and recommendation.
I agree with you that you have to have another job when doing surveys or reviews and having a blog is actually a perfect idea for those who love to do reviews.

    • I haven’t had personal experience with any of those sites. I believe they are not worth the time, but I know there are some people who desperately need quick money, so I though this article could help them out. Otherwise, if you are not in a desperate need of money, I suggest to build a long term online business.

  4. Thank you for the recommendations, I have also learned about a few more marketing platforms that can earn you some cash. I appreciate the fact that in some you have highlighted that they may not be paying you good money but it could be worth it if you give yourself time. Just one thing how do you write a review, where do you get the information about that thing you want to write about do you ask Amazon for that info or that marketer you intend to use?

    • When it comes to reviewing products you use, you can just share your personal experience.
If you decide to start a review blog, you can share your personal experience and also do research about similar products and review them as well.

  5. Hi Delyana,

Thanks for letting us know it’s possible to make a few cents by sharing our honest thoughts on products or completing online surveys, but it’s far from supporting your daily life or your whole family.

If replacing the 9-5jobs or escaping the rat race, blogging is indeed the most affordable and easiest way to build an online business, especially if you like to run an affiliate marketing business. Besides Amazon, are there any affiliate programs and products that we can promote through blogging?

    Thanks for sharing,
    Matt

    • Yes, there are MANY affiliate programs out there. The good thing with affiliate marketing is that there is an affiliate program for almost any product or service that you use. All major brands has an affiliate program. Just type in ”your niche + affiliate program” and you will find tons of suggestions.

      I hope that helps 🙂

  6. I believe while paid reviews will offer the chance to make some money I don’t think you can make real big money. The best way is to create a website and start your own personal blog connecting with affiliate programs, ebooks ads, and so on.
