So you want to make money online as soon as possible? If so, keep reading because in this article I will tell you why I believe that starting an affiliate marketing blog is the best way to make money online.
It can generate you passive income and help you reach financial freedom. But what is an affiliate marketing blog and how do you start one?
This is exactly what this article is going to be about. I will talk about the potential that affiliate marketing has, why you should prefer it over other business models, and most importantly, I will tell you how you can get started for free!
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
First of all, what is affiliate marketing?
The concept of affiliate marketing is very simple. A website owner/blogger can join an affiliate program for a specific product and then promote it and earn commissions each time someone buys the product.
The product can be both physical and digital, but it can also be a service. Here you can check out some affiliate marketing examples.
Why Is Affiliate Marketing So Great?
I believe affiliate marketing is the best business model out there, especially for beginners. Here are 7 reasons why:
- You don’t have to create or own a product
- No need to deal with customer support
- You have full control over your business
- Promote anything you want
- No need for direct selling
- You can start earning passive income, which means you can make money even while you sleep
- You can start for free (or at very low cost)
These are just some of the benefits that affiliate marketing has.
Another great thing is that you don’t need to have any previous experience. You don’t need to be a writer or a marketer. The affiliate program that you join provides you with all the information and strategies you need in order to promote their product successfully.
What Is An Affiliate Marketing Blog?
I guess all of you know by now what a blog is. It’s a place where you write about a certain topic. But what is an affiliate marketing blog?
Just like any other blog, an affiliate marketing blog is a place where you write content about a certain topic. The only difference is that an affiliate marketing blog often has a niche and focuses on promoting products in that niche.
Let me give you an example to better understand what I mean.
Let’s say you love dogs. You can create a blog around how to take care of puppies. In that blog you will be writing articles related to puppy care. In those articles you will be mentioning different products, such as dog food, toys, accessories, etc.
Whenever you mention a product, you can leave a link to that product. If people click on that link and make a purchase you will earn a commission.
The link is called an affiliate link and is connected to you via an affiliate ID, which helps the company to keep track pf which sales were generated by you.
I hope you have a clear idea now of what an affiliate marketing blog is and how it works. Now let’s go over to the part, you have all been waiting for…
How Can You Get Started?
Starting an affiliate marketing blog is easier than you think. The two main things that you will need are domain name and hosting.
The most popular place to get your domain name is GoDaddy and the most popular web hosting is Bluehost. They are great, but I personally don’t like to be all over the place and get my domain name from one place, the hosting from another and the training from a third place.
I prefer to have it all at one place. That’s why I created a full step-by-step guide on how to create a website for free and make money from it.
Check it out by clicking the highlighted link above. It will show you the 4 step process that I use whenever I want to create an affiliate marketing website.
It also shows how to get visitors to your website, as well as the best affiliate marketing training out there.
That was it for this blog post. I hope you now understand what an affiliate marketing blog is and all the benefits that affiliate marketing has.
